We Tried to Do ALL of Paris (Disneyland, Versailles, Eiffel Tower & More)

Published On: April 14, 2026Categories: Travel

We went to Paris last week and I’m gonna be honest… we were literally running through the entire trip!

There was no downtime. None!
Downtime was sleeping… and even that didn’t really happen because we were up early and just going, going, going the whole time.

That’s just how we travel. There’s no lounging around. We’re here, we’re doing it all, and we’re doing it all right now, lol!

So if you’re planning a Paris trip and trying to fit everything in, this is exactly what it looked like for us and what you should expect!

Starting at Disneyland Paris

We started our trip at Disneyland Paris before going into the city.

Most people only spend one day there, but we stayed longer because we didn’t want to completely wear the kids out.

If you’re planning a Paris itinerary with kids, this is something to think about. Disneyland Paris is doable as part of your trip, but once you go into Paris after, it becomes a lot very quickly.

Also, just know Disneyland Paris is about 40–45 minutes from the city, so you’re not just hopping back and forth easily. Once you leave, you’re really shifting into “Paris mode.”

If you want to see exactly how we did it, we shared the full breakdown in our YouTube video here: Disneyland Paris Honest Review What We Loved Rides & Food

Where to Stay in Paris (Eiffel Tower View Hotel)

We stayed at Hotel Residence Charles Flo, and even though it says “hotel,” it’s really more like an apartment.

There’s no concierge, no restaurant, no bar… so if you want full service, this is not that.

But if you’re looking for an Eiffel Tower view hotel or apartment in Paris, this is one of the coolest options.

If you’re on the top floors, you get a full Eiffel Tower view. Not partial… the entire tower.

We actually got upgraded to a penthouse, and the space was huge with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, and laundry.

One thing to know though… the area is busy and loud because you’re right by the Eiffel Tower. We had the windows open and there were people, sirens, everything going on.

Also, we didn’t even realize what was around us (restaurants, markets, etc.) until the last day because we were so busy. So if you stay here, give yourself time to explore the area too.

Versailles Tour From Paris (What to Expect)

We went from Disneyland Paris straight to Versailles with a private driver and guide.

If you’re planning a Versailles tour from Paris, having a guide made a big difference. She walked us through everything and explained all the history as we went.

The property is HUGE, and there’s a lot to see. This isn’t something you just “pop into.”

There are also things like rowboats, golf carts, and different sections that you can add on depending on how much time you have.

If you want to do it right, plan for several hours… or honestly, most of the day like we did.

Paris Itinerary: What We Actually Did

Once we got into Paris, we did everything we could in a short amount of time.

Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, Opera House… all of it.

If you’re planning a Paris itinerary, just know you can fit a lot in, but your days will fill up FAST.

We were going nonstop from place to place with no real breaks, and even with planning, we still felt like we were rushing at times.

So if you’re someone who likes to take your time, you may want to spread things out more than we did!

Louvre Visit (Important Tip)

We had a mix-up with tickets at the Louvre, and this is something you need to know.

If you’re booking a guided experience, your tickets need to match that.

You can’t just buy regular entry tickets and expect your guide to walk you through everything… they need specific access.

We ended up figuring it out, but it’s definitely something to double check ahead of time so you don’t run into issues.

Also, the Louvre is HUGE. You’re not seeing everything in one visit. It’s better to go in with a plan of what you actually want to see.

Notre Dame & Opera House

We also went to Notre Dame and the Paris Opera House as part of the same day.

Notre Dame is something you can walk through, but timing matters depending on what you want to see (like specific items or displays).

The Opera House was one of those places that was just REALLY cool to walk through and see in person.

It’s quick compared to something like the Louvre, but still worth adding to your itinerary if you have time.

Eiffel Tower Experience

We also went up the Eiffel Tower, and one thing to know is that it gets busy.

Lines for elevators can be long, especially on the way down.

If you don’t want to wait, you may end up taking the stairs, which is what we did. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely a lot.

Also, depending on your ticket:

  • You may stop at multiple levels
  • You may need to switch elevators to reach the top

So just plan extra time for this, because it’s not a quick in-and-out experience.

Paris Food (What We Actually Ate)

The food was really good!

The bread everywhere was good. Every place we had bread, it was good!

We used TikTok for a lot of food and hotel recommendations, and it actually worked.

And yes… we ate Italian food in Paris.

If you’re traveling with kids, just know your food plans may not go exactly how you picture them.

Also, meals can take longer than you expect, especially if you’re sitting down somewhere. So factor that into your schedule if you’re trying to fit a lot into one day.

Final Thoughts

We were going nonstop the entire trip.

But we got to see so much, and it was such a fun trip.

If you’re planning Paris and want to fit in Disneyland Paris, Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and more… it’s doable.

Just know… you’re going to be moving the whole time!
