Virgin Voyages RockStar vs. Mega RockStar
If you’ve sailed Virgin Voyages before, you already know I’m a fan. But if you really want to see me get excited, start talking to me about Mega RockStar.
There’s sailing Virgin Voyages, and then there’s sailing Virgin Voyages as a RockStar. You get a bigger suite, extra access, priority perks, your own RockStar support, and a few little luxuries that make the entire voyage feel different. And then there’s Mega RockStar, which takes all of that and turns the dial WAY up.
So what exactly do you get, and what’s the difference between RockStar Quarters and Mega RockStar Quarters? Let’s break it down.

What Do You Get With Virgin Voyages RockStar Quarters?
All RockStar Sailors get some pretty great perks before they even step onboard.
You’ll have priority access to book dining, events, Shore Things and other experiences, plus priority boarding when it’s time to sail. You also get access to the RockStar Agents, who are there to help with requests throughout your voyage.
Then there’s Richard’s Rooftop, Virgin’s private outdoor space exclusively for RockStar and Mega RockStar Sailors. It’s one of my favorite perks because it gives you somewhere quieter to escape, grab a drink, relax and enjoy the view away from some of the busier areas of the ship.
And yes, your suite has an actual bar. RockStar Quarters include a curated in-room bar with the first round included. That alone makes coming back to your room at the end of the night a little more fun.

The RockStar Suite Types
There are several different RockStar Quarters, so you don’t necessarily have to jump straight into the biggest suite on the ship.
Seriously Suite: The entry point into RockStar life and one of the most popular choices. You get a European king bed, terrace, hammock, full bar and the RockStar perks without going completely overboard on space.
Sweet Aft Suite: Located at the back of the ship with those AMAZING wake views. There are different terrace sizes available, so this is a really fun choice if the balcony is important to you.
Cheeky Corner Suite: These sit on the corners of the ship and have some seriously impressive terraces. Again, there are several terrace-size options, including Pretty Big, Even Bigger and Biggest Terrace.
Brilliant Suite: More space, an open layout and room for up to four Sailors. This is where the suites start feeling more like an actual living space instead of simply a larger cabin.
And then we move into my favorite category…
Mega RockStar Quarters
Mega RockStar is where Virgin basically says, “What if we just spoiled you?”
The Mega RockStar suite categories are the Gorgeous Suite, Posh Suite, Fab Suite and Massive Suite, with the Massive topping out at an absolutely ridiculous 2,147 square feet.
But the bigger room isn’t actually the main reason I love Mega RockStar.
It’s the perks.
Mega RockStars get a dedicated Mega RockStar Agent, a bottomless in-room bar, a daily bar tab for drinks around the ship, complimentary Thermal Suite access at Redemption Spa, upgraded WiFi, and either private transfer service or complimentary parking where available.
That daily bar benefit is a BIG difference from regular RockStar. With standard RockStar, your included alcohol is primarily your initial curated in-room bar. Mega RockStar gives you included beverages throughout the ship within Virgin’s stated limits, plus that bottomless in-suite bar.
And this is exactly why I love Mega.
It isn’t just about having a giant suite. It’s that so many little things you would normally think about during a vacation are suddenly handled for you. Want something changed in your room? Ask your agent. Want another bottle for your bar? Done. Want to hit the Thermal Suite? Go. Want a cocktail? You already know where this is going.
I have sailed Mega RockStar, and it is VERY hard to go backward afterward.

RockStar or Mega RockStar?
If you want a bigger room, priority access, Richard’s Rooftop and some extra VIP treatment, RockStar Quarters are fantastic.
If you want the full “take care of me, I’m on vacation” experience, that’s where Mega RockStar shines.
Is Mega RockStar necessary to have an amazing Virgin Voyages cruise? Absolutely not. Virgin already includes dining, entertainment, group fitness classes and more in the regular cruise experience. But if you’re celebrating something special, love a little luxury, or just want to experience Virgin Voyages at its most over-the-top, Mega RockStar is VERY easy to fall in love with.
And yes, I will happily enable you.
